I had quite a few P&G coupons due to expire on 8/31, but thankfully, CVS is having their semi-annual beauty sale and I was able to use them before today.

I have to be honest... I'm not quite sure how it works out, but I assure you that I keep getting FREE STUFF at CVS! Here's what I got during my latest trip:
I had ALOT of trouble cashing in on the Lifesaver deal as the manager of my local CVS store did not want to take my BOGO coupons!! She kept telling me "Well, you can't have both of them for free - it doesn't work like that!" I came home and called the corporate office (1-800-SHOP-CVS) and spoke with an Extra Care representative about my experience. The rep assured me that all I should've had to pay was tax!! So, I returned to the store - THANKFULLY the manager I spoke with the first time was gone. The supervisor on duty was much more accomodating and I was able to get 10 bags of free Lifesavers and $5 ECBs! WooHoo!
Anyhow, as I was saying... Somehow everything you see in the picture was free - except for the vitamins. I did have to pay $30 for my prenatal vitamins. But that was the only OOP expense I had. I paid for everything else with coupons and previously earned ECBs and when I was done, I had earned $27 in new ECBs to replace the ones I paid with!
Heres what I got:
10 - Lifesavers
4 - Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
1 - Revlon Lip Blush
4 - Johnson & Johnson Baby wash/lotion
1 - Neosporin
1 - Stuart Prenatal Vitamins 100 ct.
Coupons:
5 - BOGO Lifesavers bag
2 - $2/2 Johnson's baby wash or lotion (printable - The Coupon Loop)
1 - $2/1 Revlon products (7/27 newspaper insert)
1 - $1/1 Neosporin (printable - The Coupon Loop)
1 - $5/1 Stuart vitamins (requested from their website)

I'm getting better at the CVS game... I bought all the stuff you see in the picture in 4 transactions for a total of 55¢ out-of-pocket (OOP) using coupons and previously earned Extra Care Bucks (ECB).
I had $21 ECB saved up and now I have $12, but am working on another $5 which I should have by week's end. ($5 ECB when you buy $15 of CVS brand baby care items.) So by the time the week is over, I'll have $17 ECB. Not too bad, although I lost $4.
Money Saving Mom is an excellent resource for learning how to "CVS". Check out her link in my blog list to the right.
Also, see Economic Endeavors for detailed instructions on how to plan your transactions to get the most for your money.
Here's how it breaks down:
Transaction 1-
2 Revlon hair accessories ($4.99 & $5.99)
2 American Greetings cards ($3.99 & 3.29)
1 CVS Hand sanitizer ($1.19)
1 CVS Baby Wipes ($2)
COUPONS-
$3/$15
$2 CVS Skin CareB1G1 American Greetings
Free CVS Hand Sanitizer CRT
$11.99 ECBs
Total: 50¢ - Earned $5 ECBs for Revlon accessories
======================
Transaction 2-
Clean & Clear Soft Moisturizer ($7.99)
Clean & Clear Soft Facial Cleanser ($5.99)
CVS Baby Wipes ($2)
COUPONS-
$3/$15
$2 CVS Skin Care
$3/two Clean & Clear Soft products
$7.98 ECBs
Total: 21¢
=======================
Transaction 3-
2 Revlon cosmetics (BOGO Sale) ($7.99 & $7.99)
2 Trident Xtra ($1.49 & $1.49)
1 CVS Wipes ($2)
COUPONS-
$3/$15
TWO $3/1 Revlon cosmetics CRT
$2/1 Revlon from 7/20 SS
BOGO Trident Xtra
$2 CVS Skin Care
Total: 70¢ - Earned $1 ECBs for Trident Gum
======================
RETURNED the Clean & Clear from Transaction 2 because I only spent $14 and did not get my ECBs. So,
Transaction 4-
2 Clean & Clear Soft Moisturizers ($7.99 each)
COUPON- $3/2 Clean & Clear Soft products
**Used return money card to pay and still had a balance of 86¢!**This would've been better if I had 1 more $3/$15 and if I had thought to grab another box of CVS wipes!
Earned $5 ECBs for Clean & Clear promo
=====================
Still working on the $5 ECBs from the $15 CVS Brand Baby products. So far, I've "bought" 4 boxes of wipes for free. I just need 4 more and I will get the $5 ECBs!!
